Matt Wallden former consultant for Chelsea and Charlton Athletic football clubs looks at symptomatic disc injury, one of the key diagnoses back pain specialists work to resolve.  Asymptomatic disc injury may result in compromise of multiple mechanisms of force transfer in the spine and throughout the biomechanical chain.  This talk will focus on key screening procedures, both subjective and objective, that will help you to manage disc injury in your client base whether "overt" or "incognito".

Matt Wallden has consulted for Chelsea and Charlton Athletic football clubs, and Surrey County Cricket Club.  Matthew originally trained as an osteopath and naturopath, going on to complete a post-graduate Master's degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 2000.  Since then he has trained to become a corrective exercise specialist, lecturing on this topic at 4 major UK osteopathic colleges. Matthew also lectures internationally, sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, runs various professional forums and has written a number of peer-reviewed articles and publications
